I love stumbling across an artist whose work feels at once familiar and yet completely new—always fills me with so much inspiration. Luigi Ghirri (1943-1992), who I had never heard of before this moment, evokes a sense of calm and attention to detail in his colorful, quiet book of work. After a quick online search I discovered he was a pioneer of color photography, and a master of documenting the beauty of ordinary scenes with Kodachrome film. I'll let a selection of his photographs do the rest of the talking. enjoy!
